My Tryst With PR

Hello my fellow PR and non-PR enthusiasts!

I am Suvesha Vengatesh, a public relations novice studying in Syracuse. I spent all my life in India reveling every minute in its vivid colors, mouthwatering cuisine and diverse populace. My penchant for public relations brought me half way around the world, and I am eager to make PR a permanent fixture in my professional life.

Wading through the strong currents of commerce and international business in my undergraduate years, I found solace by involving myself in organizing several events. It was those events that eventually led me to public relations. I must say that it took me a while to wrap my head around the concept of public relations, but once I understood its essence I instantly knew it was for me. I think public relations is a wonderfully simple tool that if used wisely can move mountains.

Apart from my obvious love for PR, I love cooking and consuming massive bars of chocolate relentlessly. I am a huge soccer fan with my loyalty firmly placed with Arsenal F.C. and the Spain national football team, and I am also intrigued by graphic designing and photography and hope to work on improving the creative side of my brain when time permits.

I have been toying with the idea of starting my own blog for a very long time. Being a public relations student who is constantly reminded of social media's rampant effect on communication, I decided to join the bandwagon and share my thoughts on things that are PR-friendly.

Stay tuned!
